When your picky cosmopolitan sister comes to town from Chicago, you take her to St. Genevieve of course.
You could go here if you aren't a fan of meat, but why? I kid, sort of. We ate outside near the smoker and even it you don't eat meat, you can smell it. Now, I eat meat (obviously) and this place does meat very well. It's my SO's favorite place even. I was skeptical but I can say salmon lived up to the hype of the place.

Hands down, the best Porchetta Bowl. Polenta, pork, pepperonata, and a poached egg. Delicious. And the best Lambrusco I've had.

Dave the Pie Guy has the best pies. Period. Pro tip: Order ahead. I got the blueberry pie (along with an education as to what states had the best fruit for pies this summer), but I wanted a blackberry pear. Doesn't that sound amazing? I think that I will try it out if I dare host Thanksgiving this year.
